Sunset Park runs along the Brooklyn waterfront, a working, family-centered neighborhood with two commercial spines in Fifth Avenue and Eighth Avenue, and a hilltop park looking out at the harbor and the Manhattan skyline. Across Pear's own listings, its one-bedroom median is the lowest of the seven neighborhoods on this site.

Sunset Park sits in western Brooklyn along the Upper New York Bay, bounded roughly by the Prospect Expressway to the north, Ninth Avenue to the east, 65th Street to the south, and the harbor itself to the west. Its housing stock is dominated by two-story-above-basement rowhouses built between 1892 and 1910, with brownstone, brick, limestone and sandstone facades in Queen Anne, Renaissance Revival, Romanesque Revival and neo-Grec styles — smaller-scale versions of the townhouses built in the same period in wealthier Brooklyn neighborhoods. Low-rise apartment buildings, including cooperative buildings built by the neighborhood's Finnish community with distinctive open courtyards, round out the stock.

The neighborhood's namesake park, 24.5 acres between Fifth and Seventh Avenues from 41st to 44th Street, was acquired by Brooklyn in 1891 and expanded to its current size by 1904; its elevated site gives westward views toward the harbor, which is where the name comes from. The city designated four residential historic districts here in June 2019, protecting more than 500 rowhouses built between 1892 and 1914, on top of a larger district added to the National Register in 1988.

It's still worth a page: the medians are the lowest of the seven, which is a genuinely different search than the other Brooklyn neighborhoods here.
